Isabella Butler is the creator of PHL Threads and poses next to her custom tag.

Isabella Butler, a graduating senior in Drexel’s Fashion Industry and Merchandising program, invites D&M Magazine behind the scenes for an exclusive first look at her thesis collection, “PHL Threads.” A proud Philadelphia native, she designs for fellow Philly fashion enthusiasts who want to subtly, stylishly represent their city. “PHL Threads” also marks a major milestone as her very first collection under her artist name, REINA. The line is packed with feminine and unisex streetwear staples: baggy denim sets, essential mini skirts, baby tees, and cozy beanies. Every piece is curated and meticulously upcycled by hand and elevated with delicate, one-of-a-kind details. Bella uses an electric nail file to write in cursive, airbrushes her logo onto garments, hand-stitches patches, and pours her full creative energy into every stitch and stroke. Between the callouts to Philly’s historic culture and a sole love for fashion, there is so much to love about this line.  Curated, upcycled, and designed entirely by her, the limited collection will make its public drop at her pop-up sale this May, where “PHL Threads” will officially come to life.
